This is the number 1 reason I joined Wealthy Affiliate. If we can create passive income, we can free up our time.
I spent almost 15 years of my life working as a concrete placer, and after a prolapse at work, I was forced to find other methods of making money online.
In the first few weeks of my recovery, I was on the couch, with my laptop surfing the web for jobs, ways to make money, and I found a method called affiliate marketing.
This quickly led me to find some sort of training to help me learn how to do this.
Make money from home, with any passion, hobby, or interest, and it was passive income which means it will pay you over and over again on autopilot.

Once I completed the training included in the free starter membership I had to decide to upgrade to premium, or premium+ membership, to unlock the rest of the platform and all the other tools included inside the Wealthy Affiliate platform.

My first few months after upgrading to premium:
- I built two websites, one of them is howtoconcrete.com, and in month 1, blog 8 I made my first sale earning me a commission of $1.56.
- By month 3, blog 18, I had an order for 9 products with a value of just under $5000, and gave me a commission of $230.
This was the start of good things to come. I could feel it, I knew the system worked as I was making sales and generating free traffic through blogging.

There are thousands of Wealthy Affiliate success stories including mine which does prove the training works and is helping people make money online.
The people who are not finding success will blame the platform, simply because it is easier than blaming themselves.
I mean we are all given the same training, so why are some succeeding and some not.
It comes down to the determination to stick with it and to practice what we are taught in the Wealthy Affiliate training until we see results, not just give up 1 or 2 weeks after starting and then say the training doesn’t work.
