Millions of people all over the world looking to escape the chains of work life, dreaming of their ultimate lifestyle, Is this something only rich people can have? or does everyone have the ability to create and build the lifestyle of their dreams?

Let me tell you that anyone can build the lifestyle of their dreams, it just takes work, dedication, and the ability to stay motivated to keep pushing through until you are successful.

My 10 Secrets To Building Your Ultimate Lifestyle

I understand many of us are all in different situations and what you will need to do to be able to gain your freedom will vary from person to person, however, we are all capable of pushing ourselves to upskill, learn, and overall build ourselves a better lifestyle.

Steps to Achieving Your Ultimate Lifestyle

  1. Know what your ultimate lifestyle is: Clearly define the lifestyle you want to achieve.
  2. Work out how you will get there: Create a plan of action to reach your goals.
  3. Take action: Start putting your plans into motion.
  4. Use vision boards, reminders, and inspiration: Keep yourself motivated with visual and mental reminders of your goals.
  5. Monitor progress: Regularly check if you’re on track with your goals.
  6. Reevaluate: Adjust your strategy, either repeating successful actions or restarting where needed.
  7. Focus and utilize: Stay focused on the plan and utilize your resources effectively.
  8. Fast track progress: Look for ways to accelerate your progress through learning or shortcuts.
  9. Reward yourself: Celebrate small victories along the way to maintain motivation.
  10. Repeat until successful: Continue this cycle until you achieve your ultimate lifestyle.

How To Start Building Your Ultimate Lifestyle

Identifying exactly what you want in life and what your ultimate lifestyle would look like is a critical part of the beginning stages of building your dreams.

Keep in mind, that priorities can change along the way, circumstances can change, and so can a million other factors that life may throw at us.

However, having a clear goal or target that you are aiming for means you can map out a plan to help you get there.

1 - What is your ultimate lifestyle

Your ultimate lifestyle can be anything. If it’s financial, a budget needs to be written up. If it is a physical or health goal, a diet plan or workout plan needs to be made.

If it is a mixture of both, then we will need a planner for both, this goes for any part of your goal, no matter what it is, we need to be able to track and monitor our progress.

Some goals can be accomplished in a few days or weeks, and some others can take months or even years to accomplish. Regardless, we need a plan, and we need to monitor our progress.

Common goals or dream lifestyles:

Personal Lifestyle Goals

  • To never have to work and live off the land.
  • To work three days per week and have four days off. I will not have much money, but I don’t need a lot.
  • Become a millionaire.
  • Own a house.
  • Get married, have kids, a house, a golden labrador, and a white picket fence.
  • Become the next big YouTube sensation.
  • To make passive income and travel around the world.
Everyone’s ultimate lifestyle is slightly different but most will include having freedom, and to do this most will need to create passive income to free up their time, and I will show you how to do this late on in the blog.

2 - How Will You Get There?

Once you have a clear idea of your ultimate lifestyle, you can set your goals and break these down into accomplishable tasks.

For example: If someone wanted to be a millionaire in 5 years they would need to save $200,000 per year for 5 years or make a profit on property, or other business investments to generate this.

If your goal is to be fit and healthy or lose weight, you can start a diet plan, and an exercise routine and write up a daily planner for this.

All goals need to be realistic. Becoming a millionaire in 1 month with no capital to invest, no skills, and no motivation is fairly unrealistic.

You are the best judge of what you think is realistic for yourself. Small tasks that are easier to complete are more accomplishable.

3 - Taking Action

For most people, taking action and starting the changes needed to help get into new habits is the most tricky.

It takes dedication, practice, and the ability to keep trying again until you are successful.

Remember, to accomplish your goals and dreams, you will at some point need to do things you feel uncomfortable doing, like going for a run if you normally don’t run, and saving some money if you are used to spending it all. 

Regardless of what it is, it will take time to settle into a routine.

4 - Vision boards, reminders, and inspiration

To help stay focused, reminded, and dedicated to achieving our goals, we use tools like vision boards, reminder notices, and inspiration.

A vision board with pictures of what we want to accomplish on it, and put somewhere we will see it daily, remind us visually, of what we are building, or aiming to accomplish.

5 - Monitor progress

Once you start your new routine make sure you track the days you complete these goals, and the days you do not.

After a month or two, see how your progress is going, and how it is working in with your timeline to build your ultimate lifestyle.

If you are falling behind, you may want to pick up the pace, reevaluate, or restart your planner.

6 - Reevaluate, restart, or repeat

You can decide when you want to do this, but at some point, you will need to see if you are on track with your goals. 

With the money example I gave earlier, we had to save $200,000 for 5 years to become a millionaire. If in our first 6 months, we had saved $100,000 we can safely say we are on track. If we had saved $23,000 I would say we are well behind and may need to reevaluate our timeframe to accomplish or goal of $1,000.000 in 5 years.

This is ok, reevaluating is all part of it!

If you are on track, just repeat what you are doing, if you are slipping behind just a tad, but have put in a good effort, just restart and keep going. the routeine will get easier.

If you have set your expectations too high, and are miles away from accomplishing your daily, weekly, or monthly tasks, then you may need to reevaluate your planner or goals.

7 - Focus and utilize

There are loads of tools online to help with tasks and motivation.

You can accomplish anything. Focus and keep your goals in the forefront of your mind.

8 - Fast track your progress

If you are on track with your daily tasks, and your progress report is on track, you may want to up-the-anti.

Increasing productivity, or increasing effort in any area working towards your goals will get you there sooner rater than later.

Why not get there in 3 years and not 5?

Why wait 2 years when I can accomplish something in 6?

Keep in mind we do not want to burn ourselves out, but if we can comfortably do more, go for it!

9 - Reward Yourself along the way

By rewarding ourselves along the way for our progress, reinforces the fact that we are winning, we are on our way to success, and we can be proud of our efforts so far.

10 - Repeat until successful

With constant effort, inspiration, monitoring, and rewards, we can accomplish anything and build the ultimate lifestyle of our dreams.

These are my ten steps to building your ultimate lifestyle.

If you follow these steps and keep striving to accomplish your mini goals, you can and will build your ultimate lifestyle.

Throughout my life there have been many setbacks, many times I could have “just settled” but instead I have strived for more, striving for a better lifestyle, and I have succeeded.

Here are a few extra tips, or words of wisdom if you will, to help you along your way of building your ultimate lifestyle.

Key Principles for Achieving Long-Term Goals

  1. It will not happen overnight: Make sure you understand this. If you expect instant gratification, you have lost already.
  2. Prioritize and sacrifice: Be prepared to give up some or all of the things you enjoy that are holding you back from getting ahead. Shift your focus into something free and productive.
  3. Keep your goals to yourself: This way, if you don’t succeed the first time around, you can just start again without everyone thinking you failed. It is your personal goal.
  4. Organization: One of the hardest parts for me was being strict on my time and setting aside time to get things underway. Organization and structure are super important.
  5. Believe you can do it: It may sound corny, but it’s true. If you want it bad enough, you can achieve it.
  6. Don’t give up: If you slack off, get lazy, or stop working on your goals, that’s okay. Start again, and you might just do better this time. Every attempt reinforces your commitment, and if you keep trying, you’ll succeed!
  7. Stay Focused: Focus, focus, and oh yeah…focus!
  8. Reward your accomplishments: Reward yourself, big or small. Whether it’s a nice dinner, a drive, or treating yourself, rewards reinforce your success and help keep you motivated.

It is not an easy road to change your lifestyle or go out of your way to make more money, but sometimes many of these hard decisions will be the turning points of whether or not we succeed in accomplishing our goals of building our ultimate lifestyle.

    me with a question if we should set a time limit within which our goals should be accomplished at which point we should be considering reviewing our goals. An idea that strikes my mind would be to consider from the beginning a template that can help towards the point if our chosen goals can be achievable or not.

    1. Hey Troy, thanks for your comment. I think I would plan accordingly when the unexpected happens. Deal with it the best way you can and back to focusing on your goals.

      There will always be the unknowns thrown at us in life, it’s more important how we deal with them, how quickly, and how maturely. 

      We can’t expect to always get everything done in a day if other hurdles arise. As long as afterward, we get home, see our vision board on the fridge, or the walls to see our goals, talk about our goals, and keep focused and dedicated, we will be successful 🙂
