How To Write A Blogs That Google Ranks

How To Write A Blog That Ranks In Google

About 4 months before this blog I wrote an article titled “11 must-dos to do to get your blogs ranked on Google”.

These key 11 points have not changed since, and I still use these key points to ensure blog SEO is of high quality and in a way Google prefers.

Read Blog Here: 11 Must-Dos to get your blogs ranked on Google.

This blog also talks about the AIO SEO plugin which is a must use for pre-checking the quality of your blog’s SEO score.

All blogs need to have these 11 points completed as a minimum standard to ensure the basic minimum SEO standards are met.

What blogs need to rank on Google:

  1. Blogs will need to have my 11 must-dos completed and confirmed in the AIO SEO plugin.
  2. Blogs should be informative and helpful and be around 1000 – 1200 words minimum.
  3. Blogs should NOT be written completely with AI.
  4. If using AI, do not copy and paste the original copy, always alter and make it more human.
  5. Make sure your font size is greater than 16. ( I use Arial, font size 20 )
  6. Do not add affiliate links to every blog, add internal links that go to a pages with affiliate links.
  7. Good quality images but not huge in file size.
  8. The design and layout should flow nicely and in a user-friendly way.
  9. A good website silo is another way to increase UX ( User experience ) and blog rankings.
  10. Share your blog posts on social media channels.

With this list and the 11 SEO must-dos, the recipe for blogs that Google ranks is here.

This blogging strategy has taken me a long time to get right, and I know if you are writing quality material, that is good length and meets the required points that I have mentioned above, your blogs should start ranking.

Blog Design Variations and UX (User Experience)

Blog Design Variations and UX

You may have noticed the sidebar I have on the right of the page yes?

In my review blogs, I do not use this feature and I turn the sidebar off.

This seemed to make a difference with a couple of reviews I wrote as they started ranking on page 1 of Google within hours.

All I do now is rinse and repeat.

Knowing “exactly” what Google wants in a blog is still debatable, however, many blogs in different niches, and vary in length still rank on page 1 of Google.

Identifying the main points that Google likes is the best place to start and this is what I have identified in my years of blogging online.

Understanding User Experience ( UX )

User experience refers to how people navigate your website, how people find information on your website, and how easy your website is for people to use.

This is often referred to as website siloing, or website silo, which refers to the layout and design of your website in regards to UX.

Having a good website design and main category pages visible is a must. Supporting information should align with parent categories and be nested under the correct heading.

By ensuring easy navigation, an easy to read text, and well-organized content, your website will gain better rankings in Google searches.

Keyword Analysis and Competition

How To Write Blogs That Google Ranks

All great blogs start with a target or focus keyword, this informs Google exactly what our blog is about and the keyword we are trying to rank for.

Naturally, Google will find multiple keywords in our blogs, however, including a chosen focus keyword is a must.

Keywords should have a low competition, and to find this out I use the help of a few tools.

Tools I use to find keyword competition:

  1. Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool.
  2. Google Keyword Planner.
  3. Google search box.

By using these tools I can identify gaps in the market, identify competition for each keyword, and plan my blogs accordingly.

Depending on your niche, competition will vary. Main niche websites like the ones mentioned below are very over saturated which makes it harder to rank for main associated keywords.

  • Weight loss.
  • Health and fitness.
  • Make money online.
  • Pets and pet supplies.
  • Muscle Gain
  • Health Supplements

If you are building a website or blogging in any of these niches, ranking blogs may take a little longer compared to low-competition niches.

In any situation, blogging should be consistent, good quality, and most of all helpful.

If you follow my guidelines for how I write my blogs, you will start to see an increase in blog rankings. Especially if your chosen niche is not oversaturated.

How To Write Blogs That Google Ranks Conclusion

I have written this blog in the hope that it will help you write blogs that Google Ranks in Google search, and hopefully on page 1.

Variations like your chosen niche, competition, level of writing, UX of website, and loads more factors come into play when Google is deciding where to rank out blogs and websites.

However, I know and have proof of my blog’s ranking on page 1 of Google, so this clearly indicates that I am doing something that Google likes.

As the old saying goes, ” Don’t muck with a winning formula”

My blogging strategy seems to be a winner!
