Companies like Amazon, Aliexpress, eBay, offer affiliate programs that people like you and me can join.
Once approved, we can now advertise the products from that store.
There are also places like Clickbank, Digistore24, JVzoo, and WarriorPlus, that are affiliate hubs and offer thousands of affiliate products that you can advertise.
Believe me, there is no shortage of affiliate programs or affiliate products.
How Do You Learn Affiliate Marketing?
My affiliate marketing journey changed when I came across an online platform named Wealthy Affiliate.

Once you have chosen a niche, which is the first stage in setting up, you will then build a website.

With a website, we do this through writing blogs.
The more quality blogs we write, the more traffic we receive, and the more sales we will generate.

How Much Can You Earn?
There is no limit to how many sales you can generate at any time of the day, or night.
Some affiliate products pay commissions from a few cents to a few thousand dollars.

The blue button that says promote is the button I would get my affiliate link from, and the AVG conversion is the amount I would get for each sale I help generate.
This is in USD, in New Zealand this would equate to NZD 2774.00 (Approx)

Endless products, unlimited earnings potential, and this is just on ClickBank alone.
Once you get approved into ClickBank you can start promoting the products to earn revenue.
If you clicked the promote button you will be given a unique affiliate link that belongs to you. This is the link you can share to your audience, family, or friends.
If they click that link and make a purchase, you will get a commission.
How Long Does It Take To Build Passive Income In New Zealand
There is no definite answer for that question as there are too many variables, however, most that do the training at Wealthy Affiliate, and do the tasks will normally see their first sale in 2 – 3 months, and then it will go up from there.
This greatly depends on the niche you choose, the amount of competition, and the amount of information you can publish.
With practice, you can build a website and generate sales within 1 – 4 weeks.
What Your Tasks Include To Build Passive Income in New Zealand
Most affiliate marketers gain traffic through publishing information.
Blogging, social media posts, email marketing, forums, ebooks, etc.
Ideally, we should be adding a minimum of 2 blogs per week to your website. These blogs can be shared on our social media platforms as well.
I also do lots of keyword research to find queries people are typing into Google so I can target these queries and write blogs to answer them.
This is a list of my weekly duties or tasks:
- Blogging.
- Keyword research.
- Content creation.
- Check website traffic stats.
- Check sales.
- Product research.
- Social media posting.
- Upskilling and learning.
- Website design.
- Networking.
Not all of these need to be done every week, and planning ahead can save you hours in the long run.
For example I have a list of potential blogs to write, so I don’t need to think about what I’m writing about every time I want to write a blog.
We can also schedule blogs and social media posting on autopilot. This means we can pre-publish and take time off while you go on holliday, and still have your website running, and growing, earning revenue.
