Are You A Positive Thinker? How To Turn Negatives Around!

Are You A Positive Thinker?

The art of positive thinking can be an extremely powerful skill, and if you are a positive thinker, congratulations, this is something that many people will never really grasp the hang of.

Dwelling on negative situations or events can have an enormous impact on both our bodies, and our minds, and in turn affect us as a person and those that are closest to us.

In this guide, I will show you some of the methods I use to turn negative moments into positive ones, and how this can change the outcome of your lifestyle.

Why Be A Positive Thinker?

Why Be A Positive Thinker?

Positive thinking can have a huge impact on the body, and on the contrary, so can thinking negatively.

we all know stress is an absolute soul destroyer, and can destroy the body.

Reasons To Be A Positive Thinker:

  • You will be happier.
  • You will grow as a person.
  • You will unlock opportunities.
  • Your attraction level increases.
  • You will find less negative in your life.
  • Negative situations are easier to control and sort out.

So how do we handle negative emotions, experiences, and situations?

We turn them around into positives

and deal with them accordingly.

For many of you, this may seem crazy, and I do understand some negative or sad instances will have a natural grievance process, and this is perfectly natural, but this is not what I am talking about.

When we look at situations like shifting house, changing jobs, or trying a new hobby, there are loads of uncertainties, and I would like to give a real-life example of an incident that happened when I was talking to two friends in a group chat about 1 year ago.

Real Life Example Of Turning Negative Thoughts To Positive

Real Life Example Of Turning Negative Thoughts To Positive

It started with me, and two friends having a good old Friday night chat about life and what was going on.

One mentioned he wanted to shift from Wellington to Palmerston North, and raised some concerns, which were very valid for example, what if I can’t find a place to rent? What if I don’t have enough money?, What if I can’t find a job? all the normal thoughts that anyone may have when thinking about relocating.

My other friend replied “Yeah mate” there are not many places to rent, You won’t have enough money, especially if you can’t find a job.

WOOOOOHHHHH hold up!

This is where I come in, with the power of positive thinking.

It’s such a negative way to think “What if I don’t have” or “What if I can’t”

how about ” What If I can?

What if you do find a place, what if you save for 3 months before moving so you do have spare money, what if you start looking for places now to see what is available, or post adverts asking for a rental in 3 months from now, what if you do find a job, better yet the job of your dreams, or just a job that you prefer.

You see in my mind, nothing ventured, nothing gained. If we dwell on the negative what-ifs, then there will be no positives.

If we turn these around to opportunities and dwell on them, the law of attraction will prevail.

By no means am I saying go full steam ahead in all situations, what I am saying is that by having these negative thoughts, they can stop us from bettering ourselves and our future.

Big life changes do not need to be swept aside, they may seem daunting, and they may seem scary, but if you do prepare and think about the positives, this will have a positive outcome, rather than a negative.

It takes practice. It is as simple as that!

I could go on about how hard it is, and how long it takes…but that’s just negative isn’t it?

To be a positive thinker is rather easy. Start with small easy things to control and have persuasion over.

Negative to positive examples

  • The Negative: I cannot afford new shoes.
  • The positive: Not right now, but if I save just $10 a week from now, I can have a new pair in 4 – 10 weeks.
  • The Negative: I am so over my job!
  • The positive: I’m gonna use this job to get me to the next best one, this is just a stepping stone, and I am not doing this forever.
  • The Negative: I feel like I am stuck and going nowhere!
  • The positive: I am going to write a list of things to accomplish in the next 6 months. If I stick to this plan, I will start getting ahead.
  • The Negative: We get so many visitors every day, that it makes it hard to get things accomplished.
  • The Positive: At least we have friends and people who want to call in to say hello.
  • The Negative: A family member, friend, or pet has just passed away.
  • The Positive:
  • They had a good life, and they are at peace now.
  • The Negative: I said the wrong thing and got into an unnecessary argument.
  • The Positive: At least you know what not to say now, and how to be more respectful, or how to handle different situations.
  • The Negative: I am not very good at doing that!
  • The Positive: I am not very good at that yet, but I am going to practice and get better.

These are just random examples although for many people these will be very real.

Some of these examples are real examples from my life, and I know many of you will understand and relate to some or many of these as well.

Final Words of Wisdom

Final Words of Wisdom

Life is not easy, and you never know what is around the corner. We cannot control everything, but we can control how we deal with situations, and how we deal with sorting them out.

Take it from me, being a positive thinker can completely transform your life. Building my online business has taken work and dedication and along the way I have had many negative situations to fix or deal with accordingly. Now I could have quit, given up, and gone back to the 9 – 5 rat race system of employment, but I stayed positive and persevered.

Now I run a successful online affiliate marketing business.

Through the power of thinking positively, doors open to new possibilities.

If we dwell on the negatives and hesitate to break out of our comfort zones or thought patterns, the chances of our situation changing will be very low, stress will be apparent, and this is not a good recipe for success.

Start with the small things, practice being a positive thinker, and you will start seeing life does not always have to be doom and gloom.

Good luck in the future and may your future be filled with positive thoughts!
